The traditional wine market opens at 1:00 p.m. On the picturesque market square, the winegrowers will serve more than 150 Middle Rhine wines in their wine arbours with live music until late at night. From 2:30-5:00 p.m., a local music association will play, and from 7:00 p.m., a party band will provide party music of the last four decades - good mood guaranteed.
From 5:30 p.m. the special boats will set off from Oberwesel. The trip will take you downstream through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley
World Heritage Site. Past the legendary rocks of the Seven Virgins
and the Loreley lying in the bed of the Rhine. After the numerous ships have formed up into a parade, they will sail past the Loreley Rock, which is lit up by Bengal fire and is also the narrowest and deepest part of the Rhine, back to Oberwesel.
09:15 p.m.: After the ships have reached their designated places, the illumination of the historic townscape begins.
09:30 p.m.: Guests will experience a unique music-synchronised pyro-musical, which will have a very special effect in the narrowness of the Rhine valley.
From 10:00 p.m., the special ships will dock again in Oberwesel after the fireworks. Guests will have the opportunity to visit the Oberwesel wine market on the market square and the stalls along the Rhine. Dance music and wine stalls from the Oberwesel winegrowers await visitors.
